What the app does on your phone

The Opposable Android app uses Android's accessibility service to read what is on your screen and to tap, swipe and type for the agent you connect. That happens on your phone. The app keeps an audit log of what agents did and any recipes (saved step sequences) on the phone itself.

What goes through our servers

• Relay (remote access): if you turn on "Reach it from anywhere", your phone keeps a connection to our relay so your agent can reach it. The agent's requests and the phone's answers, which can include screen contents, pass through the relay in transit. The relay stores the phone's id, name, a hash of its secret, when it was last seen, usage counts, and recipe and audit backups if you turn backup on. It does not store screenshots or screen contents.
• Cloud phones: if you rent one, everything you do in it (the apps you install, the accounts you sign into, its storage and snapshots) lives on our servers until you cancel, then it is deleted within 30 days.
• On-device model: the screen model runs on your phone. Downloading it fetches a file from our relay; no screen data is sent.
• Website: if you join a waitlist or send us a message, we keep your email and what you wrote. If you buy something, Stripe handles the payment and we keep your email, plan and order status.

• Vercel (website hosting), Fly.io (relay, Sweden), Hetzner (cloud phones, Finland/Germany).
• Supabase (database for waitlist, orders and accounts), Stripe (payments), Resend (email).
• Microsoft Clarity (website analytics: page views, clicks and anonymised session recordings on getopposable.com only, not in the app).

Why we use your data

To provide the service you asked for (contract), to answer you and keep the service secure (legitimate interest), to meet accounting and tax rules (legal obligation), and for website analytics. We don't sell personal data and we don't use your screen contents to train models.

How long we keep it

Waitlist and messages until you ask us to delete them or two years after our last contact. Order and invoice records for seven years, as Estonian accounting law requires. Relay metadata while the phone is registered, and backups until you delete them. Cloud phones are deleted within 30 days of cancelling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to hello@getopposable.com. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).
